I worked to create a package geared toward a specific persona of a parent and child learning to cook together. We were instructed to create a package of white rice. In this design, I used a cylinder as the package to avoid the problems of an unsealed rice bag. I wanted to create something that stood out in the rice section to the correct audience.

Here is the full design flattened out. This shows all of the steps to make rice in an easy to digest way for a child to be able to follow along.

There was lots of character building in the sketching phase. I wanted to create a animal that was interesting and personable. I used traditional sketching for the messy drawings, then cleaned up the character and created the final illustrations in Procreate.

I wanted a unique approach to the typical chef outfit, something that would stand out more than just a a white smock and hat.
