For this campaign, I developed a visual identity to complement the deals and the tent sponsorship at Detroit Tigers Opening Day in downtown Detroit. Inspired by the traditional old-style "D" logo, I wanted to create a newspaper aesthetic for the campaign elements, giving it a nostalgic yet engaging feel.
To match the event's energy, I designed our giveaway coupons to resemble baseball cards. This concept added a fun and dynamic touch to the promotion. I illustrated the players in Procreate and used elements from vintage baseball cards. I used those design assets in other areas of Opening Day promotional work, such as posters, billboards, and email graphics.
We packaged the deals into a "Promo Pack" to distribute at the event. The goal was to create a unique and memorable customer experience, offering a coupon that stood out from the ordinary and left a lasting impression.
The Detroit Tigers color palette and vintage newspaper inspiration were utilized to tie the project into the Opening Day aesthetic. Different characters were illustrated, with each card featuring a unique image and coupon. The drawing of Comerica Park was included on all the cards to ensure consistency.

Each baseball card had a different promotion on the back, encouraging the consumer to get the pack to see all the deals. We then added a QR code to drive interested customers to download our app.
